With classic lines and a unique silhouette, The Varina’s 5 o’clock Tea Pot is a piece about which everyone will be talking for days.
A Unique Piece
With potential to become a true heirloom, The Varina’s 5 o’clock Tea Pot is a unique piece that takes us on a journey to an almost forgotten past.
This is a tribute to one of the most iconic figures of Lisbon – the Varinas. Truly inspirational women that, to support their family, walked relentlessly up and down the streets selling fish with baskets on their heads.
The famous afternoon tea is a typically British ritual that began with Anna Russell, Duchess of Bedford. However, what few people know is that it was actually a Portuguese woman, Catherine of Braganza, who first introduced tea to the British courts.
